Maine was just what the doctor ordered: gray skies, mist, occasional rain and beautiful scenery. We holed up in our RV, up on a hill, overlooking the ocean. Portland was very relaxing. So much so that we came back the next day to do the same thing...nothing!

Rusty loved it because there was a park just below us and he could greet all the dogs and owners that came by. We made sure to let Rusty out and before we knew it, we were making small talk with the neighbors who noticed us hanging out. At one point we heard, then saw, a bunch of college kids and the guy said, "How'd they get that RV over from Hawaii?" (Hawaii is our first bumper sticker in a series of places we've visited.) Most of the comments we usually overhear are more along the lines, "I'd love to get one of those and travel across the country." We just smile as they walk by Big B.

Not wanting to overstay our welcome and as we were starting to get a bit bored, we found a movie theater nearby. Unfortunately, we couldn't agree on what we wanted to watch and having been holed up together for the past two days, we decided to split up. I watched Friends with Benefits and Steve watched that ape movie. His movie started first so I went in and watched 15 minutes of it. I was thankful to be moving on but was a bit apprehensive as I was told I was the only one who bought a ticket for my movie. I tried to think of it as a first, first time in a theater all alone. However, I was pleased to find others there when I walked in!

The next day we drove up to Brunswick and Freeport. We walked around the gigantic LL Bean flagship store and down to Gritty's Pub to taste their Black Fly Stout. Then we took care of business at the Thomas Point Beach campground.
