We left Chicago in the evening and flew on to Zurich where we transferred planes to Athens. Begdraggled looking we then transferred to a flight to Chios Island. Of course, the flight was late!! (the beginning of a lot of "Greek time"!
Finally we arrive in Chios Town and after realizing that EVERYONE'S luggage but Ken's made the trip we find our rental car and our taxi and head off to Volissos our final destination! We needed 2 cars for this trip, since the Greek equivalent of a LARGE CAR is a Hyundai Accent!!! Needless to say, that won't do for a family of 5 with 6 suitcases and 2 carry-on bags!! The kids rode with the taxi driver and Ken and I followed behind, getting a taste of "Greek driving" in the mountains!!
