Short drive today, we plan on staying in Bunbury however arriving just after 10am we head to the info centre with possibly the nicest volunteer lady in the world (reminded us very much of Auntie Joyce! Hi Auntie Joyce..xo) we decide there is so much to cover further down south we might spend the day here in Bunbury then head off. First stop Dolphin Discovery Centre we're told the dolphins normally only come in the bay in the morning and they have been flat out with more dolphins than ever so we probably won’t see any…hmm thanks for that, we just start an information tour with a volunteer guide and cow bells start ringing all over the place signalling dolphins in the bay. 2 dolphins one in close the other hanging out further in the bay, they line everyone up in the water just far enough to get your shorts wet! Then the dolphin basically swims up & down thinking it’s getting food I assume? I think we have been spoilt seeing dolphins on the East coast on a whale tour & feeding them at Tin Can bay (thanks to Harpers for suggesting that one!) back in to the discovery centre we watch a 3D movie spy some funny looking Octopus trying to hide in a pot-plant… we see you! All in all a very informative little centre. Then a quick drive around the esplanade we find a car park big enough for big lug and have a wander around thinking we might stop for lunch~not likely boutique little eateries with fish & chips starting at $14 each! We did find a little fudge place where they make Taffy salt water taffy we’re told, never heard of Taffy so salt water or not is irrelevant! Nice soft mintie chewy lolly, the owner suggests a little local Chinese restaurant so lunch sorted! (Claire & Liam could live on rice) they even have a kids menu with traditional delicacies like "Nuggets & Chips and Fish & Chips. Full bellies we leave Bunbury heading we decide to Margaret River where we can base ourselves & explore, we find a caravan park with a pool and are there early enough kids even get a swim! Can’t describe Margaret River yet other than very similar to The Dandenongs appeared a very pretty tourist town will give more details later for now unpack & dinner to be done
