Left Erldunda to head to Uluru about 9am we stopped at Curtain Springs (truly the middle of no-where) where we were able to fill the water tank in the van with bore water for free! on the other side of the coin we paid $1.98 to top up fuel!!!! That is the record so far (it was only later talking to someone at the caravan park that I found out fuel was only $1.68 at Kings Canyon & Ayers Rock….Who'd have thought that?!) Anyway we finally arrived at the campground at Yalara fancy name for Ayers Rock caravan park at about 1pm! We settled in unpacking & cleaning out the van as we are here for 3 nights which feels such a luxury! No exploring today just need to catch our breath. Bonnet up on the Pajero & Bill lying under it checking out damage sustained on William Creek Rd. Emma cooking muffins & Claire & Liam riding bikes! Ahhh the serenity Now off to open my wine……….M.M.M.

Hey Bill - sounds great - I might be up there for a few days too in July - taking a french xchange student to Uluru (I think - or Port Douglas, which has my vote). Looking for an experience he'll remember and this looks pretty good!
