The drive to Çirali (Chi-ra-li) was two hours long and not boring at all. We went through mountains and along the sea. One time, the beach was so nice we had to stop and get a drink at a local restaurant. My Mom had fresh squeezed orange juice. When we got to Chirali after an interesting 2 hours, we could not find a hotel. Part of the problem was that the tourist season had not yet started, and they did not expect any tourists yet. We did find 1 surrounded by orange trees after 5 other attempts.
Then we went on the same type beach as Antalya. After all of our rocks were thrown, we took a walk up the beach to Olympos, which is a mountain with ancient ruins. We climbed to the top where we could see the whole beach and bay.
Then after many photographs, we went to the store to get a snack, but we didn't eat it right away. Instead, we drove half-way up a mountain before getting out and walking another up. We were going to eat our snack, which turned out to be our dinner next to the chimaera fires (fire that never burns out). The ancient people used to think that a dragon had caused the fires, because they did not know what caused them. Even today, people don't know exactly what causes them. Methane gas escapes from underground, hits the air, and for some reason starts burning. After another dark, quiete mile back with flashlights, we got in the car and left for the hotel.
