After a mad dash to the GP, a nursery home visit which Ben slept through, a final half day at work, a curry out and a bit of ID forgery we finally realised that we had to repack our bags completely because the baby carrier didn't fit into any of the bags... Doh! By the time we finished there was no time to sleep so off we went to Heathrow which took about 50 minutes - amazing. car park and transfer were great until we realised that in our sleep deprived state we told the driver the wrong terminal! Ben loved the fact that he got to ride a train to the airport! on  check in, a helpful employee let us breeze through baggage and security stuff, because he had a little one at home and knows what toddlers are like. Parenthood really is like a secret club.

Ben was good as gold on the flight and we were very relieved that it hadn't been us that were escorted off the plane because US homeland security said no at the last minute. The victims? An elderly indian looking lady who travelled by herself and two girls in their early twenties... It is sad that the US have become so paranoid about their security. As usual, my men kept me entertained: James fell asleep whilst switching off his mobile, finger still on the button. Ben refused to wear headphones but Loewi did...
