Our last 4 weeks in Berlin sailed by quickly. Angie handed in her notice at St. Hedwigs and required a leave of absence for her remaining weeks so that she could at least enjoy her last few weeks in Berlin. I had a lot of Skype interviews with various companies in Wellington. Fronde made me a great offer so I accepted. I start on Monday 18th Feb. I have not worked since May but have been doing a lot of work at home and learning a lot. We went back to Bahra for a week and got our teeth cleaned. Angie's sister is a dental hygienist. The following week we went to Poland for 4 nights. We spent 2 nights in Wroclaw and 2 nights in Krakov. Both cities are very attractive and we found the people quite friendly. Catholism is rife here and it more part of life here than in Ireland. You will see lots of nuns and young priests here. Of course there is an abundance of churches too! Pope JP II is highly regarded and you will see his picture from time to time. Our time in Poland was sadly too short and we didn't have time for a night in Warsaw to catch up with our friend Andrej. Both hostels we stayed were really good, friendly, cheap and included breakfast. We nearly didn't make our connection in Warsaw back to Berlin due to a rail strike in the morning. 10 days in Poland in the summer time would be awesome!
