Myself and Angie celebrated Christmas and New Years apart this year. Angie had to work over the Christmas period and the flights got too expensive for a 2 day visit. I mainly spent lots of time with my family instead of trying to catch up with all my friends again. I did catch up with some friends but mainly I chilled at home in Athboy. There is something very cosy spending Christmas at home. My Dad usually lights the fire in the front room before dark and it is nice to spend time in there watching Christmas TV together. We were all together for Christmas day which hasn't happened for ages. Thursdays nights is the night my parents like to go for a few pints in The Saddlers Well. Joe works behind the bar, an elderly man but full of life and very witty. We really go there for Joe's unique brand of standup comedy. Also, there are usually a few familiar faces. I didn't do anything special for New Years, just met Neil and Fulham for a drink in Inn Mod. We all went out together to a restaurant for my last night. It was nice but sad too as we won't see each other so regularly any more. I really enjoyed Chrimbo this year and spent some good times with my family.
