My cousin John Paul and his lovely wife Colleen have been living just outside Olympia for about 4 years now. They live in a cool house out by a lake. Colleen's home place is not far from there. We got to meet her Mum. They are both huge animal lovers and have a dog (Harvey) and a cat. We stayed just for a night. We went out on their boat and swam in the lake. I got to drive their Ford truck (I want one of those, they are so cool!). We were fed and watered and even got a tour of downtown Olympia. Apparently, I am the first family member to come visit them. So a note to all ye Fitzgerald's and Russell's out there, get out here and say hello, you will have an awesome time!

Olympia itself is relatively small. There is an army base out near where JP and Colleen live so lots of army people around. There were military helicopters passing over head frequently. Got to see a couple of Chinooks flying by. Olympia is just 1.5 hours south of Seattle. We got there with the Greyhound.

Thanks JP & Colleen for putting us up, we really enjoyed ourselves.
