Just one night in Singapore. This time we stayed closer to the airport in a nice hostel called Fern Lodge. It is set in an upmarket residential area with some shops and restaurants nearby. There is a beach just 20 mins walk from there. On our way we were counting all the luxury German cars that passed us. Within 10 mins we were up to 30! Singapore is a good deal more humid than Indonesia. It didnt feel so stifling this time. Perhaps we are just used to the temperatures now.

At 4am we made our way out to the Changi international airport and got on a flight to Vancouver via Tokyo. We flew with United Airlines for the first leg and then Air Canada. Flying time 18 hrs. We crossed the international date line making it an extremely long Thursday 21st June!
