On 14 Sep we headed for Vermont. It was a pretty drive, but not much color change yet. We took a ferry across Lake Champlain to get into Vermont & to our campground in South Hero. The ferry wasn't that big, so LeeDelle & Larry got their rig on the ferry that was there when we pulled up. The Yorks &

DeWitts had to wait a few minutes for the next one. Boy did they get our rigs close! Got to the campground & chilled for the evening.

The 15th we went sightseeing around Waterbury, Stowe & Burlington. We first went to Ben & Jerry's

Ice Cream factory. Got the tour of how Ben & Jerry got it started & how the ice cream was made. At the end we got a sample, or 2......Rick! Had a really fun tour guide. Then it was off to Cabot cheese tasting, Lk Champlain chocolates & a cider mill for cider & apples. I bought a hot dog steamed in cider, quite tastey! We drove to a covered bridge and then walked around the village of Stowe. Had a late lunch in Burlington and then back to the campground for happy hour. A full day of sights for all. Don & Maria decided to drop off & do their own thing. We will miss them!
