Anyway we got through emigration and Security without a cavity search and arrived (very casually) at the gates to hear our original flight being called and people sprinting past us to board!!!!! So we could have made it pretty easy. stink. so we missed out on the San Francisco pillow fight.
Monday was Presidents day and we met up with Sarah & Shane again. Winny's flatmate John took us to Napa, where we tasted some wine, ate another burger and saw an old faithful geyser. The wine pourer at the first vineyard we went to looked like a bit of a Frat boy and started quoting from the movie Old School after he heard Alex say 'it tastes good on my lips'.
The Old faithful geyser was a bit of a crack up it had a MASSIVE american flag as you drove in and charged us $8 each to see a little geyser that went off every 10 minutes or so and some fainting goats and four horned sheep. Apparently its a good thing we hadn't seen the Yellowstone park Old Faithful, otherwise we may have felt really let down. Entertaining times none the less.
Winny took us to a high rise bar with Natalie and a crazy chinese place with amazing food where the owner organised everything for us.
Who would have thought that we wouldhave spent the rest of the night watching west coast mining blast videos and listening to the boys reminisce about some more calls.
On Tuesday Winny had to go to work so for the first time we took ourselves around solo. We hung out down at Fishermans wharf and had clam chowder bread bowls.
We went super tourist and caught the tram through town and then accidently left the pride lands and got a little bit lost in the ghetto.
After a spectacularly scenic 16 hour train ride we have arrive in Albany where Alex is having extreme flashbacks from his year here as an exchange student. We are staying with one of his old host families and enjoying the slower pace after San Francisco.
