We arrive in Mostar around 7am to drizzle. As we begin to walk to the town centre the rain gets heavier. Fortunately umbrellas are only €1.50. We explore the Ottoman Quarter, avoiding the puddles forming in the cobble-stoned streets.
The view of the new Stari Most (Old Bridge) is magnificent. The arched bridge was destroyed by the Serbian army during the Bosnian War in 1993 and a reconstruction of the 16th century bridge was completed in 2004.
We finished our time in Mostar by eating some local cuisine - a burek, a coiled pastry iwth a filling of meat or spinach.
