We caught the early morning bus to Bled. Bled is by a beautiful lake with a small island in the middle. The island is dominated by a magnificent church (see photos). The pristine lake is dead flat and just over 2km long, perfect for rowing. The local rowing club has produced numerous Olympic gold medallists.
We walked around the whole lake with spits of rain. Our efforts earned us a slice of the famous kremsnita, Bled Cream Cake.
It started to rain so we didn't fancy the hike up to Bled castle so headed back to Ljubjana to prepapre for our train to Zagreb then night bus to Bosnia and Hercegovina.
