How about a group journey?
I agree with the external and internal journey, but I also think that you will have a 'group' journey. You'll be surprised how much time together, as a family, you will have!!! I look forward to your musings.

intertwining of inner journeys
Yes, it will be a group journey... hopefully all of our 'inner journeys' will unfold cooperatively... but we are prepared for bumps on the road! On a serious note, I am looking forward to seeing these places through the kids eyes, and Ross' too.
