At around 1PM we drove 25 minutes down to South Beach. We had the car valeted at a restaurant on 8th street. From there we began our walk. I had printed a map of the art deco stops so we had a good idea of what streets to use. The best part is that the walk took us all along Ocean Drive. It only took us a block to stop at Fat Tuesday for drinks. We carried the drinks out with us as we continued walking along. It was a lot of fun looking at the buildings as well as the hustle and bustle along Ocean Drive and the countless restaurants, cafes and bars. Our walk brought us past the Versace mansion on the 11th street. We also made sure to walk up on the beach to take a view too. On around 15th street we walked a couple blocks west, away from the ocean. Then we took a walk on Espinola Way which is a pedistrian street with Spanish stores and restaurants. Finally we walked along Lincoln Road. Of course we had to stop for drinks at Zekes. To finish the day we picked up some specialty pizzas to bring to home.
