In the afternoon after I got back from rafting and back in my car I crossed back over the bridge into Oregon and continued driving west on I84. I drove through Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. I made a stop at Multonomah Falls where the water pours down 620 feet making it the second highest year round waterfall in the United States.
Next I continued driving west and stopped at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. I viewed the artifacts in the museum of the visitor center and then toured the reconstructed fort. In the 1820's Britain's Hudson Bay Company was stationed here and made this area the fur trading capital of the Pacific Coast.
Once again I continued traveling west and stopped at a winery for a tasting in Astoria, Oregon. I set ip camp at KOA and they robbed me of $50 to sleep in a tent. In the evening I went to the theater for opening night of the Transformers movie.
