I drove 70 miles to Joshua Tree National Park in California.  I entered in the south side of the park and drove northward all day long.  I stopped at the cholla cactus garden and took a short hike through there.  As I continued on the road I stopped at White Tank and took a hike there out to a rock arch.  I enjoyed the shade from sitting underneath it for a while.
In the evening I camped inside of the park.  I attended a ranger led program about Joshua Tree park.
