On July 13th I drove 41 miles to Hovenweep National Monument in Utah. I also drove through the undeveloped Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. In Hovenweep I viewed the 6 areas of ruins from Anasazi Indians from over 10,000 years ago!!
Drove 140 miles to Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah and saw 3 natural bridges. I took a hike down to one and took a well deserved nap underneath it.
Later I drove 60 miles to and through Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Utah. The desert plains, mesas and buttes were dark red with the Colorado River cutting through. It was a great view!
Drove 30 miles to Hanksville for then night.
