Where I stayed
United Kingdowm Sailing Academy
Friday, July 2
After exiting the ferry we went through customs as we entered into the UK. Next we boarded a smaller boat and took a one hour ride to the Isle of Wight. I played cards with some of the students and we enjoyed great views all around.
We travled to the United Kingdom Sailing Academy in Cowes. This site is regarded as the pinnacle for sailing. This is the home of the America's Cup sailing race. At this facility, people learn and train for racing.
After lunch the students went kayaking and the leaders went for a walk into Cowes to explore the city. I had a traditional creamed coffee with scones.
In the evening I watched the World Cup with the locals.
Saturday, July 3
Today I took it really easy. Although I had to wake up for an early breakfast and help the students get ready for the day, there weren't any other obligations once they left for sailing. I spent the day on the computer, reading a book, taking in some sun, and realxing in the lounge.
