Iguazu Falls, Argentina

Iguazu was discovered in 1541 by Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca and established in 1984 as Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The falls are located 80% in Argentina and 20% in Brazil.
We went straight from the airport to Iguazu National Park. Once there we took about a 1.25 mile hike to reach the first viewpoint of the falls. This portion was called the Devils Throat. This is where the largest volume of water passes through. I was quite surprised how close the railing came to the falls. It was mighty impressive.
Following the Devils Throat we took another hike to view other vantage points. This second hike really showed how wide and expansive the falls actually are.
At around 6PM I made the hike to the hotel and in only a few minutes I had changed into a bathing suit and made my way to the pool to cool off.
