Woke up super early at 4.30AM and was picked up for a tour an hour later. After spending almost two hours in the van while we picked up others, we then went on a two hour drive south to Sian Khan, a UNESCO site. On the way I met a couple people, Luz from Mexico and Mathew from Australia.
Our first stop at the UNESCO site was at Mayan ruins. We took a tour of the site and climbed a couple of the temples.
Next we took a boat ride through some beautiful waterways. We then put on our life jackets but wore them as diapers so that we could float down the river. It was a great, relaxing time.
Next we took a drive to have an authentic Mexican lunch at a local restaurant. I decided since Id had so many goodies on the food tour the other day to be good and have some fish, cooked Mexican style though of course.
The final stop of the day was a cenote. I was surprised at how cold the water was, but it was hard to complain considering how hot it had been outside.
In the evening Luz picked up Mathew from his hotel and then they came to pick me up. We went to a local bar and had a great time having drinks and getting to know one another better.
