After tons more driving we arrived in Taxco. This city is famous as a silver town. It was also very unique because all of the buildings were white with red roofs. Very European looking like Spain or Greece. And Taxco is on a mountain, or mountains, so all of the buildings are scattered all over. Very interesting. Lunch provided a fantastic panorama of the buildings on the mountains. Of course a local meal for lunch so that was great!
Following lunch we began to walk around Taxco. We visited the zocalo and entered the main church there. It was very impressive. After that I took an hour on my own. I walked around some backstreets and found like a market. I spent my last 30 minutes having a beer on an upstairs terrace that overlooked the entire zoacalo.
It was a long drive back to the hostel. I guess I arrived around 8PM. I just chilled tonight at a nearby bar/restaurant.
