Where I stayed
We started the day with another visit to the hospital in Fira so I could receive a couple more injections for my back.
Next we took a bus from Fira to Kamari Beach. It was a black sand beach lined with a boardwalk and restaurants, hotels and bars. On the beach we rented some chairs and an umbrella. We enjoyed the beach from 11:30AM-4:30PM. It was interesting to watch planes arriving to Santorini as they flew over the water and our beach. Diana and I also tried an assortment of Mediteranean beers.
We left the beach and took a bus to the opposite end of the island to visit Oia. Here we walked 2 1/2 hours. There were incredible views of homes and blue domed cathedrals hanging off the edge of the cliff. We stopped to have some beer on a terrace with great views.
Most people stay in Oia for the sunset, but we took the last bus before the sunset back to our hotel to enjoy another meal and wine with a terrific view of the sunset.
