After leaving yesterday by flying from Miami to Paris and then on another flight from Paris to Istanbul, Turkey we finally arrived, exhausted, at 3PM local time. After checking to to the hotel we decided to walk around. We had great views of the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque as they were both located so closely to our hotel.

We then visited the Basilica Cistern. It dates back to the 6th century BC during the Byzantine Empire. There were two Medussa head columns mysterioulsy built there.

We continued walking a bit more. We had a traditional dinner at an outdoor patio restaurant. Of course we had Efes beer.
