Where I stayed
We visited the artists' quarter of Montmartre.
Lunch was a unique local experience. I tried snails and frog's leg. The snails were very tasty, but the frog was nothing special.
Our next stop was the Musee du Louvre. We didn't actually stay long enough as it would have taken about 3 weeks to see everything. Sadly we had less than one hour! We used the time to split into groups and to compete in an artists' scavenger hunt. Of course we did see the most famous artifact here which was Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. We also viewed the Venus de Milo, Winged Victory and Liberty.
Later we visited Notre Dame. Its construction began in 1163 and took over 200 years to be completed. Once again we did not have nearly enough time. We did have time to view it from the outside and take a walk inside, but I would have loved to have had more time to climb the stairs to the top for views of the city.
