We were on the road at 7:30AM. Today we traveled to Bastogne, Belgium. At this site was the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. It was the bloodiest battle of the war. The Siege at Bastogne was one battle that was a part of the battle of the Bulge. Here we learned what life was like during that time in the war. We visited East Company's fox holes. Later we visited the Battle of the Bulge Museum.
During our touring we came across a few classes of Belgian students that were the same age as my fourht graders back home. They enjoyed mingling with us despite not being able to speak english.
We left Bastogne around 12:20PM and arrived in Paris, France at 5PM. We went directly to dinner and none of us had any sense of actually being in Paris until we left dinner and made a scenic drive through the city to see the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and more.
