We left the hotel bright and early at 8AM.  Our first stop was up Corcovado Hill to view the Christ Redeemer, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.  The Christ statue was really impressive and detailed.  There was even a church service held there right at the base of the statue.

There were also stunning views of the city and Sugar Loaf mountain from up top.

Later we toured through Rio and took a walking tour of Belle Epoch and its architectural buildings.

Next we visited the metropolitan church which was unlike any church I have ever seen.  From the outside it was a massive cone shaped structure that didnīt resemble any kind of Catholic architecture.  However, in the inside was very impressive with stained glass windows and quite spacious.

Lunch was fun because they served authentic Brazilian cooking.  I tried pigs' tail, pigs' ear, and tongue.

The last stop was way too much fun!  We visited a samba academy which houses a dozen different samba schools.  From here they create and prepare their floats for Carnival as well as practice their dancing.  We were able to see some floats and even climb aboard some of them too.  There were costumes to try on.  Then two sexy samba girls and a few male dances came out and encouraged us to dance along with them.  All of the guys were flashing pictures as fast as lightning.

We arrived back at the hotel around 4PM and I went with my parents, Shelley and Damian to lie out (finally!) on Copacabana beach.  I almost got whiplash from all to see.  There were endless amounts of people and small, skimpy bathing suits.  As famous as it is, I still think South Beach in Miami has sexier women and show much more skin.  But Copacabana was fun to see.  There is also an endless stream of salesman combing the beach selling things like sunglasses, lotion, drinks, food, and even bathing suits!

At 6PM we have an open bar farewell reception back at the hotel.  An hour later we boarded a bus to a churrasco restaurant.  I filled up on too much food in the beginning and didnīt have enough space for all of the meat over the course of the meal.  The restaurant had a pirate theme and is supposedly famous for the men`s bathroom.  So famous that women come in and take pictures too.  I dont know how to describe it so you`ll have to just look at the pictures.
