Where I stayed
We left the hotel today at 9AM. The first stop was the Recoleta Cemetery. There were numerous elaborate mausoleums as well as the burial site of Eva Peron.
Next we visited the colorful barrio of La Boca, a site where many European immigrants had settled. The buildings were so colorful and there was a strong influence of tango.
At 1PM we visited Florida Street which is a long street, many blocks, of shopping. It reminded me of Las Ramblas in Barcelona. Here I bought a souvenir of a couple doing the tango and it was made with two native stones of Argentina.
At 4PM we stopped at El Sanjuanino which had declicious empanadas. Of course I had three varieities.
At 7PM our entire tour group left the hotel and walked 2 and a half blocks to La Cabana for Argentinian steaks and a tango show.
