Where I stayed
But you know what? What really made the trip for me were the individuals along the way we met. Normally, I try and shy away from other travelers doing the same thing we are all doing while traveling, whether were looking for a place to relax or let loose, or attempting to get absorbed by the local culture, or wanting to just simply move. It would seem that other travelers would divert you from focusing on what you needed to learn from that country you're visiting
From the broken English/Spanish conversations I had with the locals, Paul from Tricolor sharing his life story in New York City, to meeting up with Greg the musician from North Carolina, to Sylvia and Christian from Germany, to Morgane and Chef Norbis from Mal Pais. They provided the rainbow of sprinkles on an otherwise great sundae; they were the ones who helped dig the memories deeper in the psyche. I'm gonna have to dedicate this blog to you all. Thanks for the memories and I hope to see you all again on the road or... just somewhere.
Where do we go from here? I'm not going to make the mistake of making a prediction like the last time I wrote a blog. Life is much too fluid and unpredictable. It was a silly move on my part. It's almost like we fool ourselves in thinking that we have some control over our destiny where in reality, we are creatures in a boat floating down a river with a single paddle. Sure we can turn here and there a bit, but ultimately we are all simply passengers and the trick to all this is to just avoid the debris and let go. With that said, I'll sign off with the expression that all Ticos like to say for everything... Pura Vida! (Live Life or Full of Life or Life is Great or...)
Thanks for reading and I hope you had as much fun reading this as me sharing it with you.
