Where I stayed
Post by Miranda Ewing
After Phoenix, we headed up to Williams, Arizona. From here we made plans to take a train to the Grand Canyon! Little did we know that Williams is actually a charming little town all on its own. Williams sits on the historic Route 66 and has many interesting souvenir shops and restaurants. If we had more time I would have liked to have stopped in one of the old 50's diners. But we didn't plan on spending much time in Williams though and so we really only had one day before our train ride and two days before we were on the road again. We did, however, take a dip in the indoor pool. The girls are loving all of the swimming that they're getting to do! We also took a short car ride to Sedona and Flagstaff. Jason fell in love with northern Arizona. It was much different than you would expect when you think "Arizona." There were large snow covered mountains and pine trees in every direction, much different than Tucson and Phoenix. Williams is a beautiful place to visit but quite chilly for March. We are getting excited for sunny California!
