We stopped in Duisberg to change stations on our way from Amsterdam to Stolkhom and as we arrived we caught the end of the Germany vs. Argentina soccer match. I was really close and ended with a shoot out which Germany won. Naturally, since we were in Germany everyone went crazy. Out on the streets everyone had covered their cars with German flags. They were hanging out their windows holding German flags and were also wearing the German colors. For over 4 hours after the game people were making rounds in their cars honking and screaming. In the train station there were kids our age walking around dressed ridiculously in German colors chanting German victory songs and getting drunk A couple of them stopped and started talking to us. One German, named Tofu, was taking the same train as us and decided to out with us. Five new Germans sat down next to Emma but none of them spoke English very well. Basically it was a group effort between the five of them to have a conversation with Emma. All of them were drunk and it was highly entertaining.
