We have been home for three days now and I finally have a few minutes to sit down and write the final chapter to our travel blog. To be honest, up to this point the blog entries have been easy. I spent 10-15 minutes at night talking about our days activities and posting some pictures before turning in for the night. This one however, is different. This time I feel that I need to capture the essence of our trip. Despite what it may have looked like from the blog entries, this trip was not all about sightseeing. It was not all about adventures or experiences. More than anything else, this trip was about family. Sharing some of the most beautiful places in this country with those you love is a priceless experience. Hikes deep into the Sierra Nevada mountains, kayaking down the Colorado River, climbing up a waterfall in Yosemite, off roading in Moab etc.... were all experiences that we will interpret  individually but also will contribute to the collective consciousness of this family.  We come away changed as individuals and as a family unit. We are all very thankful for the opportunity to do this. We are stronger as a result.

My parting words of wisdom to those who are contemplating doing such a trip are borrowed from my favorite sneaker company.

Wow! I loved reading about your adventures. We have never been to this part of the country. I wish I knew how to do a blog and add pictures. Not that computer literate. So glad you are enjoying time with your boys. We started camping with our son when he was a boy scout. Bought an old camper when he was about 12. Got to go only about 4 years until he moved on to girls and didn't want to go any more so enjoy every minute! We bought new camper and still enjoy going, but miss those old days with our son along. thanks for sharing.
