Hey Hey,

So, it is has been a while. I have been having a blast in good ole' Chongqing. I am halfway through the teaching semester and I am loving teaching. I have a great set of students! They seem to enjoy my classes and i have enjoyed seeing them improve. The really eager ones have excelled really fast. It is a great feeling.

Isabelle has been doing great. She has had regular trips to the park and nightly cat hunts. She gashed her paw open about a week and a half ago and it is just now healing. I was worried for a while and I found some vets just in case. It healed up on its own and I gave her neosporin and tied a sock around her foot the first few days. She gained a bit of weight because she has been stuck in the house for a week. I am making it up to her now. She has been out a lot the past two days and she will go everywhere with me this weekend.. my Bday!!

I have found a few extra jobs; modelling and a host for some stupid game show this company has. They gave me a terrible script written in Chinglish then changed the whole thing, so when you watch, just know it was basically all impromtu for 5 minutes! They paid me $45 an hour so I am not complaining! - http://www.youtube.com/user/dreamluckyball

So this post is an update and a a description of my National Day Holiday road trip to Lijiang. Lijiang is an amazing old city in the Yunnan province. Pat, Alex, Roki, our two dogs and I all packed up in the 长城 “The Great Wall" (my car) and headed to Lijiang. I drove 26 hours straight (one two hour nap in the middle) and we made it safely. I have never seen so many accidents in my life. Cars were crashing left and right and we saw a wreck that is by far the worst I have ever seen. It was about 15 cars and 4 were smashed into about 1/4 of their original size. Unbelievably sad. 8 people died... we later found out on the news. I almost had two accidents because cars switched into my lane without looking. I just laid on the horn and kept calm until they realized I was right next to them. Chinese drivers have absolutely no awareness of where they are!! it is sad.

Lijiang ws great. We went out, toured the city, took pictures and let the dogs run wild. Isabelle swam her heart out everyday. The water is crystal clear and she had a blast. She went to the bars and restaurants and was in dog heaven. Alex's girlfriend runs an amazing guesthouse, so we had great accommodation. We met a bunch of other cool guests and a couple from Shanghai that were on a mission to buy about $10,000 worth of jade. We also saw a drink get auctioned off for $1,000 at the bar. The rich Chinese are RICH!!!

Well that's all for now. I am not going to write this in Chinese. It is too much effort and I have been too lazy to even write in English.

再见
