We took a stroll a bit farther to have a look at Big Ben and the Parliment buildings and by that time it was getting close to 6:00 so we made our way back by taking the tube to our hotel.
Food was the topic of discussion and it was decided to have Lebanese food, which none of has tried and was it excellent! There is so much ethnic foods to try that you would never get to eat the same one twice!
This has made for a very long day and some much needed rest as tomorrow it will be Hampton Court Palace weather permitting.
Well, after a good nights sleep we awoke to go have a little breakfast and hit the streets. Started out by taking the tube from Lancaster gates to Tottenham Court Road. I had almost forgotten how efficent the tube is on getting around London. We headed for the British Museum and took in all of the hightlights and there certainly was quite a few of them. From Egyptian mummys to Asyrian carvings, you name they have it. We spent about 3 hours there and then headed off on the tube to Trafalgar Square, and had a look around, most of it was closed off for renovations so you could not see much. We then headed off for the Thames and decided to take a clipper to Greenwich and have a look around. Saw Admiral Nelsons attire and effects and the Royal Conservitory and planetarium, stood on the Prime Meridian and headed back down the hill to catch the clipper back to London. We continued on walking down the Thames and come across a monument to the dedication to the Battle of Britian, very moving and well put together.
