We arrived in Amsterdam at 14:40 and had a tight connection to London Heathrow as the flight was boarding at 15:45 and we made it with about 20 min to spare. Amsterdam airport is huge! and it took us about 20 of walking to go from Gate F03 to Gate D57. Security is much different overhere as you go through another security gate prior to boarding the aircraft. We had a leisurely flight of about 50 minutes and landed at Heathrow at 16:10. The line ups at Passport control are very long and that took us another 30 minutes to get through with no problems passing across the border. From there we had to find the Heathrow express train to Paddington Station which only takes 15 minutes and sure beats taking the tube which is over an hour. Our hotel we are staying at is the Oxford Hotel and is a 15 min walk from Paddington Station.
