Pat and I met up with our friend Shelley at the airport who is joining us on our adventure and after dropping off our bags and making our way through security we are headed for Milestones restaurant and will have a light supper before boarding the plane at 20:30. We celebrated our adventure with a bottle of pinot grigio after organizing this trip for the past year. The flight to London via Amsterdam is a total of 11 hours of flying, 9.5 hours to Amsterdam with a wait over and change of planes to Heathrow Airport. It's been 11 years since we were in London last and Shelley has never been there, so it will be nice to see what changes have happened and they have added on to their terminal, so I won't know if I recognize anything as we make our way to customs.
