In Bari Grandpa is not well, he is back firing and stalls for no reason, unable to find a mechanic open on a Saturday morning we settle for putting fuel injection cleaner into the fuel tank... this seems to have worked. We head west to the coast line of Italy we camp near Salerno.

Imagine a coast line boarder by mountains that dramatically drop to meet the Mediterranean sea, dot these cliffs with small towns consisting of gorgeous Italian chalets and churches, winding narrow roads sometimes only enough room for one car weaves in and out along these mountains...and you have the Amalfi coast. Expensive Gelati. We spend the day driving the coast stopping in Ravello to see the views of Amalfi, the town of Amalfi with it's Church with an ascending staircase, and Positano, smaller than Amalfi and only accessible but foot, with amazing lemon slush to cool us down. Here we adapt the Italian way and park our car on the side of these already narrow roads, only to be welcomed back on our return by a 35 fine. We head into Sorrento looking for the ferry to take us to Capri the next day thinking we could free camp in the back streets. Unfortunately the mountains and steep cliffs are still here and we head out of town near Meta. Finding some back streets along the coast we ask a friendly local Italian beach side cafe for a place to park, He kindly offers his parking for us for the night.
