Whilst in Denmark, we have a mission to deliver a pack to Andres parents (Mr/Mrs Nagstrup) we sadly will miss them if we stay here in 'Ribe' so we high- tail it to 'Holstebro' to a little town called 'Estrupuej'. We arrive late at night and Mr/Mrs Nagstrup still invite us in for a late cup of tea. The next morning we wake to find that we have landed in the middle of the most beautiful danish country farmhouse. we enjoy the company of Mr and Mrs Nagstrup before venturing over to 'Aarhus'.
We had a small list of things to visit while here but we got captivised by the Aros Aarhus Art Museum
'Faith,Hope and Love'- Over 40 years a Danish artist took photos of everyday Americans.
'I Love You'- A visualisation of the most powerful emotion humans experience.
'Crouching Man'- a 16 feet high mold of a crouching man- amazing to look at.
We venture up to Hirsthal to catch our ferry to Norway, along the way we stumble across this amazing WWII fortification (the largest in northern Europe) it housed 38cm guns- 19 metres long and 3000 soldiers, we had fun exploring the bunkers with nothing but a small torch from our mobile phone, a little scary at times.
We drive to the northern most tip of Denmark 'Skagen' and our trusty sat nav (we have called Sarah) tries to kill us by directing up 500m into the sea.
The sun sets at around 10.30 but there is always a slight glow in the horizon.
Danish highways are not at all like the german ones- maxium speed is 80km and every 10-15km there is a roundabout.
We are venturing into Norway but shall return to Zealand (Denmark) to explore Copenhagen soon.
