I think nothing can describe the 18th of June 2006 better than the e-mail I sent to my mother the next day. Almost crying of joy, I wrote to her that I had "entered a world that is in a different dimension - a place were happiness is so intense that you wonder if you can every be happier". That is really how your first visit to the Magic Kingdom feels. You will never be the same.

Anyone on the way to become a Disney employee has to do training at the Disney University. This is of course primarily a health & safety kind of thing, plus some rules on behaviour at the workplace, but by naming it 'University' it gives a feel of importance. Most people would fall asleep during the session, if it wasn't for the essential bit that once it's completed you finally get you Disney access badge.

Disney access badge means you have FREE access to ALL the parks at ANY time! And to the tunnels, but I'll save that for another entry.

Naturally, once the sessions were over, anyone who could muster the energy went in a big group to the Magic Kingdom. Over the entrance to the park it says "Here you leave today and enter the world of tomorrow, yesterday and fantasy!" And you really do - there was so much candy, ice cream and pastries on every corner that your head goes into a massive spin.

From mind-blowing roller-coasters, water-slides and castles, to beautiful parks, statues and parades, the Magic Kingdom has it all. Although we spent the better part of the day in different queues, the things we saw by the end will never disappear from my memory. In particular, an incident involving a leg of meat that was bigger than my thigh was very enjoyable for my taste buds, and watching Tinkerbell actually fly from the Castle and through the whole park can not be described.

The first experience was incredible, but we had many more to come. Every time we could spare a moment, we invaded the parks, making sure that our stay in the Kingdom was truly Magical!
