Day 16 Goa
There's a whole community of folk here from England who come here twice a year for about a month at a time
- depending on whether they are retired or not! They see the same crowd each time and love it!
A lot of them are the barfly types - as alcohol is really cheap here!
Just had an amazing Ayurvedic Massage for about £12!
It took over an hour and was incredible! Ayurvedic massage is a type of hard body massage from ancient India. It utilizes pressure points, oils, and has a whole philosophical background - a relaxing, fantastic experience!
I did have to deal with being almost naked in front of a strange man though! (Mick was outside the door just in case anything was happening that I wasn't at ease with!!!)
He started off with an Indian head massage with me sat in a chair with my head tipped back. Lots of tapping, patting, flicking and squeezing my oil drenched scalp! It felt weird but great!
Then I lay face down whilst he systematically worked warm oil infused with medicinal herbs into all my joints - in fact there was barely an inch left untouched! Long vigorous sweeping strokes from heels to fingertips and then using some sort of damper thing with really hot oil so that I winced with the heat of it! This was apparently to help stimulate organ systems within the body! I'm glowing at the moment! Sorry not many photos from today!

Hi . I don't know how you are going to adjust to life back at home after the treats on holiday hope it isn't too much of reverse culture shock to you. Fantastic time though glad all is going well and you are enjoying your exotic holiday even better than Hotel Marrigold.
