- Bora Bora taxi drivers apparently do not have a speed limit (Yes Sara, similar to Mexico).
- Huts over water are outrageously over-priced but yet you often find yourself still pondering the idea.
6:00am wake up call, how sweet it is to be in Bora Bora! Had a great island excursion on "Le Truck". Open air vehicle with the natives showing us the viewpoints and history of the island. Unbelieveable beaches and water in all shades of blue. Got to see how the natives make their wraps and different ways to wear them. Fruits of all kinds around the island from bananas, papayas, lemons, mangos, polynesian apples, etc. The water is truly that of a postcard. Quick stop at Bloody Mary's along the way (a well known hang out). As our excursion was early this morning we wanted to spend the rest of the day on our own. We hired a taxi to take us to a local resort (Sofitel) for the remainder of the day. The resort was breath taking... an infinite pool going into the blue ocean surrounded by huts on stilts over water, and white sand beaches. Always some give and take: with all of this pleasure, two pineapple margaritas set us back 32.00 (worth the price if you ask us). Needless to say we spent the remainder of the day in the pool and enjoying the scenery. Then off to town to check out the local markets before heading back on the tender to the ship. Wonderful Day!
