After a few days in my retreat, someone called Iquitos the Twilight Zone, as it seems to combine so many different energies and events happening. I have spent today my first day here and I must say that this name is just perfect for this place. All day I have felt really weird here. People will sell you anything you can imagine, a little like Tatoine in Star Wars. At the same time, there seems to be a very present and strong sexual energy around. The Amazon and the jungle in general radiates of it. Perhaps it's because it is such a clash with the last weeks of reality exploration I have done and the silence that followed it, but it is surely very different. I have nothing in particular to report, other than the biggest city in the world unconnected with roads, will require more than one day to fully grasp its true nature. I am sort of looking forward to be back, perhaps in September. Until then, doudoudouDOU (X Files song)... :)
