So we returned to Durham, where I came to live in 2003 following me and my mothers migration to the united states. This is where I joined the Army and then got stationed in Anchorage Alaska in 2008 where I met Erika. Now after my service in Alaska Erika and I returned to Durham to tie up loose end and see my mother and friends.
We had a good time in Durham where we realized how small Anchorage is we found it hard to have to drive for so long to be able to get anywhere. We spent most of our nights finding places to go dancing salsa. The weather was a welcome change, because in Alaska it was already freezing. I seen that Durham started to grow their cultured side by remodeling a lot of the buildings from the old tobaco industry in to art galeries, making down town more of an atraction.
We went out at night to Chapel Hill on friday night, and I have forgoten how busy it got, there was no where to stand in most places. However it was fun to people watch. Most of the time here was spent doing administrative work, so we are playing the hurry up and wait game to go to Costa Rica.
We cant wait to see the water falls and the beaches.
