Hello again!! We have now made our way to a small town in Germany called St. Goar. I have only actually been here for about an hour so I cant really say too much about it yet! But, I continue on about what happened in Amsterdam! So... after our little 'cultural show' the first night in Amsterdam I headed to the Erotic Musuem right next door with a few of my tour mates. That was ...interesting, but after the show we had just seen nothing really seemed to surprise us much. We walked around the red light district some more, had a beer in a kareoke pub and then headed back to our hotel. The next morning, we got up for trip to a very small town just outside of Amsterdam called Edam (yes, this is where Edam cheese comes from). In Edam we got to go for a really awesome bike ride around the town, cobblestone streets and all. It might be important to note that nearlzy EVERYONE rides a bicycle as transportation in the Netherlands, including very old ladies, business men and women (in skirts and stilettos), children, etc. Oh, and the bikes are not the variety we are used to... translated into english, the name they have for them is 'grandma bike', so they are the old style huge seats, round handlebar bikes and are so easy to ride as the land is pretty much all flat. After our bike ride we went and saw how cheese was made, tasted some different kinds, saw how clogs were made and got to try some on. It was a very neat day, very much different from Amsterdam. We travelled back into Amsterdam where Britt and I went to the Sex Museum (again very interesting), then to the Heineken Museum which was an awesome experience including 3 free beers and a souvenir bottle opener. Then we rested a little while, had some lunch (traditional Dutch pancakes), and met with the group for a canal cruise! We cruised around the city of Amsterdam on the canals (similar to Italy I would guess)... this tour included unlimited beer and wine... you can imagine how that ended!! However, probably the weirdest thing happened after the canal cruise... I was walking across probably one of the busiest streets in Amsterdam and there in front of me is Laura Perry and her boyfriend Jeff from back home!!! That was so crazy. We chatted quickly and we will probably meet up with them in Paris later on! Anyways, after that I went and hung out at a pub for a while before heading back to the hotel for bed. This morning we got up and got on the bus to head here, to Germany where we will be staying for only one day! I am going to try and post some pictures! Take care, miss you!!
