Ever read The Diary of Anne Frank? I was never interested in a little girl's book before. But I read it after coming home. Incredible and captivating. After visiting Amsterdam and Auschwitz, I could picture the whole story vividly.
Now it's back to a single currency. And my 1917 house – which doesn’t seem so quaint anymore. Travel does funny things to your perception. But I’ll still take it.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my architectural trip of Europe. It was a treat for me to see churches, castles and palaces that have stood for centuries. I could visualize history occurring right in front of me. Hopefully it’s been enlightening for you too.
Next trip I’m going solo. More ground to cover! Until then…
