Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

One of the main reasons I chose Ubud as my base in Bali was its artistic heritage. Every other shop seems to be a gallery of paintings. It's a very aesthetically pleasing village to wander.
I made a trip to four of the major museums in and around Ubud. The main genres of paintings I found are: traditional, modern, young artist and abstract. Here is a selection. I wish I could tell you more. But hopefully you can appreciate without the narrative.
Note: the museums give approval for photos as long as no flash is used.
