Having been so impressed with Yosemite, we decided to stay in the area for a couple more nights but this time in the lesser known town of Mammoth Lakes (nice work James).

Mammoth is a ski resort in winter and has an alpine feel, however in the 90 degree heat we opted for walking and swimming.... and still hoping that the black bears would make a grand appearence but no luck. We made do with looking at them on Sal and Rich's blog to at least get a taste of what we could have seen, you lucky things!
