Where I stayed
The Great Ocean Road more than lived up to expectations - amazing ocean scenery backed up by lovely green rainforests. It was topped off by some brilliant wildlife spots. We stayed at the pimping seafront town of Lorne, a really charming place. We made the most of our camping style cooking facilities and managed to tune in Master Chef (but we missed our Aussie buddies). We both really liked Lorne and would have happily stayed longer but our tight schedule meant a very early start. The following morning was a 6.30am bowl of porridge (or gruel for Lot) and at 7am we were back on the road, heading for our next stop - Melbourne.
