After a swim to the boat and a 2 hour crossing we arrived on the island of Koh Rong or should we say Koh Right! The island is only 10km x 4km and we were lucky enough to only be sharing it with another 8 people so it was relatively easy to feel like the only ones there. Both beaches are lined with coral so the snorkelling was awesome. The rest of the island is jungle with all sorts of wildlife; monkeys, monitor lizards and sea eagles are just a few of the things we saw. It was run by two English guys who spent the days playing board games and deciding what their next meal was going to be. They had actually build the entire place after discovering the island on a boat trip and camping there, they now lease the land off the Navy and have 20 bungalows which are normally all full however we were in low season and there was only two other bungalows in use – lucky for us!
